The Global Leadership Fellowship ignites the next generation of leaders to forge community initiatives for social good. OpenBox Programs believes strongly in engaging future generations to foster an interest in technology and education. Through the fellowship, high school upperclassmen and undergraduate students will

• Engage with younger generations from all backgrounds through direct community service,
• Elaborate on community problems and propose solutions in a work experience setting, and
• Expand on ideas with an optional proposal to bring their own projects to life.

You are invited to apply to our fellowship program. As a fellow, you will be guided through the process of proposing and creating a community initiative. Fellows in the Spring 2024 will be actively working on our AI Education Project, intended to acclimate middle and high school students to the ever-expanding world of AI. Prior experience in logistics, programming, or event coordination are encouraged but certainly not required -- fellows from all backgrounds are encouraged!

As a part of this eight week program, new fellows will be provided the option to propose their own ideas as a future fellowship project. Through this branch of the program, they will be walked through the proposal research and writing process.

Estimated commitment each week is approximately 2-5 hours, with one hour spend on weekly meetings and check-ins. The tentative meeting time for the program is 8:30 PM EST on Thursdays.

Fellowship Eligibility:
To be eligible to apply, applicants must

• Be in at least high school or pursuing undergraduate studies at an accredited university in the United States,
• Be fluent in English, and
• Have consistent access to the Internet and a device (e.g. laptop, desktop computer).
